The National Institute of Administration (INA) and Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) – France, with the support of the Embassy of France in Romania, organise, between 23 and 27 November 2020, the training programme for INA trainers “From face-to-face to on-line learning: differences and similarities”.

The programme is addressed to INA trainers involved in delivering online training programmes and aims to strengthen the skills required in online training. In the context of Covid-19 pandemic, when the physical presence in a classroom is increasingly difficult to imagine, an important step forward was the transfer of training programmes to the digital format. INA trainers have rapidly adapted to this approach and the programme they participate in these days will facilitate an exchange of information between their experience and the experience of French trainers in the field of online training.

The programme includes 15 hours of training (8 hours synchronous sessions and 7 hours asynchronous sessions) and will be conducted by ENA representatives, addressing topics such as: the management of the training programme and the trainees; differences in approach between face-to-face and online teaching; the attitude/posture of the trainer; online pedagogical tools; online time and stress management; motivation of the participants; conducting exercises and case studies.

The opening session of the programme was attended by: Mr. Liviu Bostan, President of INA, Mr. Joseph Giustiniani, Cooperation Attaché – French Embassy and Deputy Director of the French Institute in Romania, Mrs. Isabelle Combarnous, Director of International Projects and Partnerships at ENA. The long-established collaboration between the two training institutions from Romania and France was highlighted and furthermore the importance of the constant support of the French Embassy in Romania.

Mr. Liviu Bostan, President of INA, appreciated the programme developed in collaboration between the three institutions as an example of good practice, the use of innovative online training tools in public administration being a solution for disseminating positive experiences throughout the Romanian administration.
