Mr. Liviu Bostan, President of the National Institute of Administration (INA), received the visit of Her Excellency Mrs. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of France in Romania. The meeting took place on December 9, 2020, in the presence of Mr. Joseph Giustiniani, Cooperation Attaché – French Embassy and Deputy Director of the French Institute in Romania, Mrs. Alina Blei, Director of the Short Term Training Department (INA) and Mrs. Iuliana Leca, Director of the Communication, Projects, Cooperation and International Relations Department (INA).

The long-established collaboration between INA and the National School of Administration (ENA) – France was appreciated, as well as the constant support of the French Embassy for the implementation of joint activities. The results obtained in the field of professional training were highlighted, the cooperation being beneficial for the development of the institutional capacity.

Furthermore, possible common areas of interest for 2021 were discussed, such as: exchange of experts in professional training programmes, scholarships and training courses for Romanian officials and civil servants, organisation of online training programmes for the development of language skills and webinars on topics such as: urban mobility, digitization, writing projects with European funding, local development.

The role of the Institute is particularly important in generating change in public administration, through developing the appropriate skills of civil servants which enable them to design and implement innovative services for the benefit of citizens.
