Scope / Objective:

The ”Leadership Academy” (LAP) is an applied specialized training program addressed to mayors, senior officials and elected representatives of local government.

The program is tailored to the training needs of the target group and aims to develop the leadership for organizations, the leadership for strategies and the leadership to develop the institutional capacity during 3 (three) training modules.

Activities: 

  • Preliminary consultations with the representatives of local authorities’ associative structures in Romania
  • Recruitment and selection of specialized staff
  • Nomination of the participants in the training program by the associative structures
  • Opening Conference
  • Organizing a seminar with INA’s employees, representatives of associative structures and CoE representatives
  • Organizing the ”Training of Trainers” program for selected specialized staff provided by the CoE experts
  • Adaptation of CoE training materials according to the specific needs of the target group
  • Organizing the three training modules
  • Ceremony of awarding the graduation certificates

Target group: Mayors of communes, cities and municipalities in Romania

Results / Indicators:

  • 10 trained trainers
  • 3 training modules developed and implemented
  • 14 certified participants
